Undercuffler Named CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week

ALBANY, N.Y. — After helping lead the University at Albany football team to a win over No. 9-ranked Towson, redshirt freshman quarterback Jeff Undercuffler has been named the CAA's co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, Oct. 14.

Undercuffler completed 23-of-30 passes with two touchdowns for 380 yards, the second-highest single-game total in program history. He already had tied the program record earlier this season when he threw for 396 yards at Monmouth.

Undercuffler, from Delran, N.J., now has 20 touchdown passes, the second most in all of FCS. He's also averaging 268.7 yards per game, the third most in the CAA.

Against Towson, Undercuffler helped UAlbany amass 511 yards of total offense. His top targets were Jerah Reeves and Juwan Green, both of whom caught for more than 100 yards for the second straight week.

Undercuffler shared the weekly award with Elon's Davis Cheek, who was 22-of-25 for 259 yards and a TD in a 42-7 win over No. 15 Delaware.

The Great Danes, who are 4-3 overall and 2-1 in CAA play, are back at Casey Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 19, for Homecoming. Kickoff against Rhode Island is at 3:30 p.m. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets.
