Short Story: In its toughest conference road test of the year, the UAlbany women's basketball team was handed a 82-35 loss at Hartford on Saturday afternoon.

Julie Ford posted her first collegiate points (2) off a jumper in the fourth quarter.
Patricia Conroy earned her first career start.
Lucia Decortes tallied a personal-best three points in the contest.
Hartford narrowly won the battle of the boards, 38-36
Recap: Alexi Schecter and Patricia Conroy tallied eight points apiece in the Great Danes 82-35 road loss to the Hawks in America East action.
The Hawks jutted out to a quick 6-0 lead before Conroy got the Great Danes on the board with a jumper in the paint. The home team quickly retaliated with a three pointer, sparking a 14-2 scoring run.
Hartford held a commanding 23-4 lead after the opening stanza, limiting UAlbany to 20% shooting from the floor.
UAlbany scored on its first possession in the second thanks to a basket from Heather Forster.
Hartford scored the next 15 points of the game to pull ahead 38-4 midway through the quarter.
The Hawks took a 49-11 edge into the break. Schecter led all Great Danes with four first half points.
UAlbany's offensive posted 15 points in the third quarter. Chyanna Canada picked up all six of her points in the frame, while Conroy and Schecter added five and four points, respectively.
Coming off the bench, freshmen Lucia Decortes and Julie Ford made a splash in the fourth . Decortes completed an old fashion three-point play, knocking down her first career free throw to complete the and-one. The three points are a personal-best for the freshman forward who finished the game with two rebounds as well.
Ford, who entered the game for the first time in the fourth, scored her first collegiate points off a jump shot in at 1:02. The forward finished the contest with one rebound and two points.
