Match at Cornell Ends In a 2-2 Draw

Score: UAlbany 2, Cornell 2

Records: UAlbany (6-4-1) | Dartmouth (1-5-1)

Short Story: Caroline Kopp and Mariah Williams scored goals in the second half after a scoreless first half. Cornell scored a goal in the 88th minute that brought the game into overtime.

How It Happened:

After a scoreless first half, Cornell's Shelby Wray scored a goal in the 48th minute.

UAlbany retaliated in the 53rd minute when Caroline Kopp blasted a shot towards goal that was deflected and soared into the back of the net.

Just seven minutes later, Mariah Williams took a shot from the same side that crossed the box and went into the back corner of the net. Williams was assisted by Jada Colbert.

In the 88th minute, Cornell's Kaili Gregory scored the equalizer, bringing the game into overtime.

After two rounds of overtime, the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

UAlbany Sets New Non-Conference Win Record:

The 2018 women's soccer team has produced the best non-conference season record in program history. So far, the team has a record of 6-4-1. Previously, the record for non-conference wins was at five in 2016.
