2-seed UAlbany Men's Lacrosse to Play Denver in NCAA Quarters

ALBANY, N.Y. – The 2-seed UAlbany men's lacrosse team now knows their opponent in the NCAA Quarterfinal Round.  The Great Danes will take on Denver on Saturday, May 19th at James M. Shuart Stadium on the campus of Hofstra University on Long Island.

Time will either be noon or 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.  The game will be aired nationally on ESPNU.

UAlbany defeated Richmond 18-9 on Saturday night to come to the NCAA quarterfinal round for the second year in a row and the fourth time in five years.  UAlbany comes back to Hofstra for the first time since 2014, when UAlbany fell to Notre Dame in the NCAA Quarterfinal Round.

Denver defeated 7-seed Notre Dame 9-7 on Sunday afternoon in South Bend.  Denver was an NCAA semifinalist last season.

UAlbany and Denver last met in the NCAA First Round on May 11th, 2013 in Colorado.  Denver won that game 19-14
