Football Gameday Reminders

GAMEDAY INFORMATION

Tickets

Casey Stadium Box Offices will open at 3pm. Fans who arrived early to the game may purchase tickets in person at this time. Tickets can also be purchased online at ualbanysports.com/tickets and picked up at will call or printed at home.

Will call (incl. team tickets) will open at 4:30pm. At this time fans who reserved tickets in advance may begin picking up their orders. Please be sure to have id in hand as you will need to show identification in order to pick up game tickets. Please be patient and arrive early as we do expect longer lines than usual.

Stadium Bag Policy

In an effort to provide a safe environment to all fans are encouraged to bring ONLY necessary items to sport competitions at Casey Stadium. All patrons and items are subject to inspection.

PERMITTED ITEMS

  • Portable seats that fit bench seating
  • Foam seat pads and cushions
  • Purses, hand bags, clutch, diaper bags, fanny packs
    • All bags are subject to search by the UAlbany Police Department before entrance
  • Photo camera (those with a lens shorter than 6 inches)
    • Video cameras are NOT permitted
  • Cell phones and pagers
  • Radio
  • Blankets and rain apparel
    • Umbrellas are NOT permitted

Prohibited Items - Any item deemed inappropriate by stadium management will not be allowed into the stadium, including but not limited to:

  • Folding chairs and/or lawn chairs
  • Backpacks
  • Containers of any kind (including all types of water bottles, coolers, thermoses, cups, cans, flasks)
  • Alcoholic beverage
  • Outside food or beverage of any kind
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Laser pointers
  • Artificial noisemakers (musical instruments, whistles, air horns, etc…)
  • Umbrellas
  • Aerosol and spray cans
  • Animals (except service animals for persons with a disability
  • Apparel or signage displaying profane or abusive language
  • Projectiles (including athletic equipment, lacrosse sticks, Frisbees and beach balls, etc)
  • Skates, skateboards, hoverboards, scooters or bicycles
  • Smoking (including e-cigarettes)
  • Video camera, tripods and selfie sticks
  • Anything else deemed inappropriate by UAlbany Athletics

PARKING

Traffic Patterns and Season-Long Parking Passes vs. Cash Only:

To ease traffic flow, we have changed some traffic patterns surrounding Casey Stadium.  Season-long parking passes will now have exclusive/private access between SEFCU Lot and Dutch Quad Lot.  In the Dutch Quad parking lot, there will be one entrance for season-long parking passes and two other entrances for cash paying fans.  Dutch Quad parking is $10 on gameday.  Please note that SEFCU Lot is now a donor and season-long parking pass lot only.  There are no single game or cash sales for the SEFCU Lot, unless you have a legally issued handicap hangtag or license plate (see below for more details).

Handicap Parking:

Handicap parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis in the SEFCU Lot.  Your legally issued handicap hangtag or license plate will gain you access into the SEFCU Lot.  The going rate for handicapped parking in the SEFCU Lot is $10.  There are additional handicapped parking spaces in the strip lot (next to the roundabout near the PE Building) on the other side of SEFCU Arena.  The going rate in that lot is also $10.

SEFCU Parking Lot

All SEFCU season parking pass holders should display there gold hangtags as they enter campus. Parking attendants will direct you based on the color of your pass. Please be sure your using the pass for Game 1 vs. Monmouth. Note, if you have a sticker noting a specific place please make sure you park in row 1 (closest to stadium) in an assigned spot matching the text on your pass.

Dutch Parking Lot

All DUTCH season parking pass holders should display there purple hangtags as they enter campus. Parking attendant will direct based on the color of your pass. Please be sure your using the pass for Game 1 vs. Monmouth. There will be a gameday shuttle running from Dutch lot to the stadium. The shuttle will continue you running at the conclusion of the game.

GREAT DANE GAMEDAY

Great Dane Gameday is located in the southside of Casey Stadium behind the replay board.  Great Day Gameday is FREE to the public and is a great place to mingle, grab a bite to eat, have a cold beverage, listen to live music and to let the kids enjoy the inflatables and bounce house.  Great Dane Gameday is open from 5-7pm.

TAILGATING

Tailgating FAQs:

Is tailgating allowed on gameday?

o   YES! Tailgating is permitted and encouraged in the SEFCU Arena and the Dutch Quad parking lots, only. The University at Albany promotes community building activities for its student, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors, and recognizes that tailgating is a time honored tradition at sporting events and other events on college and university campuses.  Tailgating has the potential to enhance an event experience within a safe, responsible and controlled environment.

What time does the SEFCU Arena and Dutch Quad parking lots open for tailgating?

o   Tailgating parking lots will open at 7:00 a.m. on gameday and must be cleaned and fully vacated within 90 minutes following the conclusion of the event.  There is no overnight parking allowed in the tailgating lots. 

Can I bring my own alcohol to my tailgate?

o   YES!  Consistent with the University's Policy on Alcohol, alcohol is permitted to be consumed in the tailgating area by individuals who are 21 or older, consistent with NYS law. 

Are glass containers and kegs allowed?

o   Glass containers and kegs are prohibited. All drinks should be placed in plastic/disposable cups.

Can I grill while tailgating?

o   YES!  Propane grills with cylinders 20 lbs. or under are allowed.  Charcoal grills are also permitted but must be disposed of responsibly by dousing the charcoals with water, and emptying them into the labeled metal receptacles provided by the University.

May I set up a tent at my tailgate?

o   YES!  Tents or canopies (which may not exceed 10' x 10') are permitted.  They must be secured and may not obstruct fire/safety lanes, sidewalks, drive lanes, pedestrian walkways or other parking spots.
