ALBANY, N.Y. – The Colonial Athletic Association has announced that 42 UAlbany football players have been honored on the league's 2016 Academic All-Conference Team.
UAlbany is tied for second for most amount of players on the academic all-conference team among the 12 CAA football schools.
To be eligible to be on the academic all-conference team, student-athletes of any academic standing must hold a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
Last season, the team placed 30 players on the academic all-conference team, putting 12 more than last year on the list in this season.
In all, 388 student-athletes from across the 12 CAA football schools were placed on the team.
