Connor Fields Earns Sixth America East Rookie of the Week Honor

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With a couple of multi-point performances against Siena and UMBC, UAlbany freshman attack Connor Fields was named America East Rookie of the Week for the sixth time this season.

Fields leads all America East rookies in weekly honors and has won the last two.  As a team this season, UAlbany won 11 conference weekly awards, including five Player of the Week and six Rookie of the Week honors.

Fields played a total of five quarters this week, helping UAlbany earn victories over Siena and UMBC.  The latter win secured UAlbany's third-straight perfect America East season.

The rookie scored two goals and an assist against Siena, following up by leading the Great Danes in goals with five against UMBC.  He had two ground balls in each game.
