Former Great Dane Brett Queener Named Major League Lacrosse All-Star

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Great Dane alum Brett Queener has been selected as a Major League Lacrosse All-Star for 2014, the fifth time in his six-year career he has earned this honor.
It is the third-consecutive season Queener, who played at UAlbany from 2005-08, is an MLL All-Star. He is one of 24 players selected as MLL All-Stars this year.
This season, the MLL All-Stars will play the U.S. National Team at Harvard Stadium on Thursday, June 26th at 7:30 p.m., being broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network.
Queener currently plays for the Florida Launch, which is playing its first season in the MLL. Through June 11th, he leads the league with 86 saves, holding a 58.9% save percentage. With at least nine saves in all six games, he has led the expansion team to a 4-2 record and second place so far this season.
