Four Great Danes Claim Top-20 National Rankings Amidst No. 11 Field Hockey's Six-Game Winning Streak
NCAA RANKING SUMMARYNFHCA POLL
ALBANY, N.Y.- With a six-game winning streak in hand, Paula Heuser, Jordyn Homyak, Laura Page and Maxi Primus have all risen through the NCAA individual ranks this week. The Great Danes (12-2, 2-0 AE) remain in the No. 11 spot in the NFHCA Poll.
Heuser is the national leader in points per game (3.21) after becoming UAlbany's all-time single-season leader in goals last week. The sophomore has scored 19 goals this season, including a six-game scoring streak to date.
Homyak broke through the top-20 in defensive saves this week. The senior co-captain has recorded three defensive saves this season, including a crucial stop at New Hampshire last weekend.
Junior midfielder Laura Page maintained her No. 2 ranking in assists per game this week. With 16 assists so far in 2014, she is four shy of becoming the all-time single-season leader in the category. She needs two more to rank second all-time.
In the cage, Maxi Primus continues to post record goaltending numbers. The sophomore ranks in the top-5 in shutouts per game for the sixth consecutive week. She is second in goals against average (0.71), and third in save percentage (.818).
