Ebone Henry Named America East Conference Player of the Week After Becoming UAlbany's All-Time Leading Scorer
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - UAlbany's Ebone Henry has been named the America East Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week after setting the program record for points scored in a career, as announced by the the conference office.
Henry led the
Great Danes to a 2-0 week, as UAlbany remains the lone undefeated team in
America East play. Henry, who became the all-time leading scoring in program
history , averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 7.0 steals in
wins over Boston U. and Vermont. She shot 54.1 percent from the field,
including 50 percent from 3-point range. In the win over the Terriers on the
road, Henry scored 15 points to go along with four rebounds, four assists, and
eight steals. At home on Saturday versus Vermont, Henry scored 21 points to
become the program's scoring leader, besting a 27-year-old record. She also
finished with seven rebounds, six assists, and six steals, shooting 6-for-13
from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
