UAlbany Football And Basketball Returns To FOX Sports 980
ALBANY, N.Y. – The remainder of the University at Albany
football games this fall, starting with Saturday's clash at Sacred Heart
University, will now be aired live on FOX Sports 980 (WOFX).
For the first part of the football season, games were
carried by the university's radio station, WCDB-FM (90.9). However, the contests
will no longer be broadcasted on WCDB and instead can be heard in the Capital
Region on FOX Sports 980 by tuning the dial to 980 AM. Fans can also listen in from
around the globe using iHeartRadio online and for mobile devices. Just search
for FOX Sports 980.
Rodger Wyland will continue to be the play-by-play announcer
along with analyst Zach Bye.
While all football and men's basketball games, including UAlbany's contests in the America East Tournament, will be on WOFX, there will still be select athletic events that will be aired on WCDB as part of a continued partnership.
Kickoff Saturday at Sacred Heart is at 1:00 p.m. The UAlbany
men's basketball season starts Nov. 9th when the Great Danes play
host to Duquesne at 6:30 p.m.
