Albany, N.Y. - University at Albany will celebrate its Homecoming and Fall Festival Weekend on October 14-16. The festivities are kicked off by the 28th Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony on Friday evening at SEFCU Arena. Megan Buchanan (1996-2000), basketball & golf; Steve Checksfield (1998-2002), baseball & football; Samantha Cohen (1995-99), cross country/track & field; and Howard Sellers (1990-94), track & field, will be enshrined.

A full complement of intercollegiate athletic contests begins on Friday when the nationally-ranked women's field hockey team takes on America East Conference opponent Vermont at 4:00 p.m. Saturday's schedule includes the homecoming football game, a battle for first place in the Northeast Conference standings with Robert Morris at 1:00 p.m. The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports (TWCS). There will be plenty of halftime activities and in-game promotions.
???? The cross country programs will host the 45th UAlbany Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Bobbi Palma women's 5,000-meter championship race begins at 2:35 p.m., while the R.K. Munsey men's 8,000-meter championship race is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. Collins Circle, on the Washington Avenue side of campus, will serve as the course's start-finish line.
???? The weekend action concludes on Sunday when women's soccer meets Maine at 12 noon in a match that will help determine a spot in the America East post-season tournament. Field Hockey hosts Delaware at Alumni Turf Field, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Women's Golf plays a match against Siena at Albany Country Club.
