Boston, Mass. - University at Albany's Joe Greene has been chosen as the America East Conference Track Performer of the Week, while Brenna Militello was named the league's women's field performer of the week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, April 24.
Greene captured the 400-meter hurdles and was named the Most Outstanding Male Performer of the New York Relays. He was clocked in 51.42 seconds that set a new meet record. A day earlier, at the UAlbany Spring Classic, Greene won the 400-meter dash in 48.92 seconds. He also anchored the 4x100 relay team that won the event and crossed the line in 42.39, almost two seconds ahead of the second team.
At the UAlbany Spring Classic, Militello won the high jump with a leap of 5-feet, 7.75-inches to eclipse a school-mark established by Janna Johnston in 1999.
