Stephen Evans is in his third season as a staff assistant of the UAlbany track and field program after spending four seasons as a member of the team.

Evans ran on the 2006 4x400-meter relay team that advanced to the NCAA East Regional, setting an outdoor school record in 3:09.80. In addition, he competed on the winning 4x400-meter relay team that won the 2006 IC4A Indoor Championship in a school record time of 3:09.39. Evans was also named all-conference indoors for placing second in the 500-meter dash (1:04.03) at the America East Conference championship.

A two-year captain, Evans earned his bachelor’s degree in human biology from UAlbany in 2006 and recently completed his master’s degree in liberal studies.
