Marc Pallozzi

Marc Pallozzi enters his third season as a volunteer assistant coach on the UAlbany track and field staff after earning three letters as a member of the team. After helping to oversee all of the throwing events over his first two seasons, he will mainly focus on coaching the javelin throwers this year.

Pallozzi, a captain as a senior, was a two-time All-American in the javelin and most notably placed eighth in the event as a senior at the NCAA meet. UAlbany's first student-athlete to garner All-America recognition multiple times in a field event won the javelin throw at the America East Championship as a sophomore and senior and placed second as a junior. He still holds the school record for his toss that sailed 229-feet, 10-inches at the 2007 Empire State Games.

The Troy, N.Y. native transferred to UAlbany from Plattsburgh State after his freshman year and earned his bachelor's degree in history with a minor in biology in 2007. Pallozzi, who is currently pursuing his Juris Doctor at the Albany Law School, also lettered as a punter and placekicker on the football team during the 2005 campaign.
