Sala Earns America East Women’s Tennis Player of the Week Accolades

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – University at Albany women’s tennis player Alba Sala was named the America East Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Sala went 2-0 in singles play behind two 6-0, 6-1 victories in the No. 5 spot at Sacred Heart and Long Island. She also took a 6-0, 6-0 win in the No. 4 singles match at Providence on Wednesday.

The freshman from Barcelona is now on a four-match singles winning streak and has won two straight doubles matches in the No. 1 spot.
