BOSTON - Amaya Stewart of UAlbany women's basketball has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, as announced Monday.
 
Freshman Amaya Stewart averaged 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds throughout the most recent week of competition. At UMass Lowell, the rookie forward totaled a career-high 23 points shooting 45% in less than 30 minutes played. 
 
This is Stewart's, and the team's, third AE weekly award of the season.
 
UAlbany will continue its season against Binghamton on Saturday (Feb. 14) at Broadview Center.
