ALBANY, N.Y. - The University at Albany men's soccer's
Tommy McFadden was named America East Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Â
A Freshman out of Reading, Pa.,
Tommy McFadden played a big role in the Great Danes 3-0 victory over the University of Rhode Island on Friday, September 6, when he scored the second goal of the match, and his first of his career, thanks to a header off a free kick from
Alexander Clive that bounced inside the box as McFadden connected his head with the ball off the bounce and past URI's keeper into the back of the net.
Â
McFadden's award is one of three weekly awards given out by the America East Conference. This is his first award with UAlbany.
Â
UAlbany will take on Marist at home on Tuesday, September 9th, with kickoff set for 6:30 pm. For more information on the UAlbany men's soccer team, follow the squad's official social media accounts on X and Instagram and UAlbany Athletics on Facebook.
