ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women's rowing team returns to the water this weekend for the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, the final race of the 2025 spring season. Competition in Pennsauken, N.J., is set for Friday and Saturday.

Great Danes in Action
The Great Danes will have two boats in action this weekend, the Varsity 4+ and the Frosh/Novice 4+. The Varsity 4+ has seen action in ever regatta the team has participated in this year. The Frosh/Novice 4+ saw action in the Novak Memorial Metropolitan Championships, finishing in first place.

Last Time Out
The UAlbany rowing team wrapped up a strong showing at the Novak Memorial Metropolitan Championships in New Rochelle, N.Y, on May 26. The Novice 4+ boat set a blistering pace in its heat before finishing with the program's first ever first place finish in a final. The Varsity 4+ boat also had a strong day, picking up a second-place finish in its final.
