ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women's lacrosse program will host former America East Rivals No.14 Stony Brook on Sunday, February 23 at Casey Stadium with the first draw set for noon. Sunday's game will be the Great Danes Tucker Out Lymphoma game.

Tucker Out Lymphoma:
Tucker Williams, the brother of current UAlbany women's lacrosse midfielder Dylana Williams, lost his battle with Burkitt lymphoma in 2014. In response to Tucker's diagnosis D. Williams's Father, Shawn Williams who at the time of Tucker's passing was playing for the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), the franchise and city of Buffalo rallied around Tucker, and the Williams family by hosting the first-ever Tucker Out Lymphoma Night on April 5, 2014. The annual game has continued through the National Lacrosse League over a decade later as Dylan's older brother Dyson Williams played in his first Tucker Out Lymphoma Game with the Albany Firewolves on Saturday, January 4th, against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in which Shawn is now the Head Coach of. Teams through the NLL all hold a Tucker Out Lymphoma Game to raise awareness for pediatric cancer care in Tucker's honor since that first night. Tucker is remembered for his "Braver than Brave" spirit in his fight against lymphoma and UAlbany is honored to bring Tucker Out Lymphoma to NCAA Women's Lacrosse.

Scouting Stony Brook
The Seawolves are currently 2-0, defeating Villanova 12-5 on Wednesday, February 19. As a team, Stony Brook has scored 28 goals, 18 assists with 58 shots, and 47 shots on goal for a .871 shots-on-goal percentage. Three goals came off free positions, while seven came from a woman-up. The Seawolves went 3-11 on free-position attempts. Stony Brook has also recorded 41 ground balls, 31 turnovers, and 28 caused turnovers with 24 draw control wins and is 42-50 on clear attempts.

Isabella Caporuscio leads Stony Brook with nine points from seven goals and two assists while recording six ground balls and five caused turnovers. Casey Colbert has recorded six assists for the Seawolves. Defensively, Avery Hines picked up the most ground balls with seven and has nine caused turnovers.

February 15, 2025 | The University at Albany women's lacrosse program traveled to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to take on the Crimson as the Great Danes fell 6-18.
Dylana Williams led UAlbany with four points from three goals and one assist.
Gracie McCauley picked up three ground balls.
Quinn McCarthy, Mackenzie, and
Abbie Murphy each recorded a caused turnover.
Paisley Cook led the team with four draw controls. Harvard outshot UAlbany 33-13 with 26 shots on goal to the Great Danes 12. UAlbany recorded 12 ground balls to the Crimson's 22. The Great Danes were 13-17 on clear attempts, while Harvard was a perfect 14-14.
Quinn McCarthy spent 45 minutes in net making six saves with 11 goals against.
