BOSTON, Mass. – The America East has released its 2024-25 Men's Basketball Preseason Poll in a release by the conference office on Monday, October 21 in which UAlbany was picked to finish in seventh of nine teams come the end of the season.
"The message to our team for this upcoming season is simple," Head coach
Dwayne Killings commented. "It isn't about how you start it's about how you finish. I truly believe in this group, and we are committed to proving everyone who has doubted our program wrong."
The preseason poll and preseason all-conference team were voted on by the league's nine head coaches who were not allowed to vote for their own team.

The Great Danes return two starters from last season in 2023 America East Third Team Honoree
Amar'e Marshall and one of UAlbany's top scoring forwards from 2023-24
Aaron Reddish.
Last season Marshall started in all 32 games for the Purple and Gold averaging 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Reddish returns to the Great Danes having appeared in all 32 games last season with 20 starts while averaging 7.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.6 assists per game.
A Look Ahead:
The 2024-25 season begins on November 4 as the Great Danes head to West Point to take on Army with all nine America East teams in action. The Albany Cup returns to the newly renovated Broadview Center on Saturday, November 16. Conference play starts on January 4 against UMass Lowell at home and concludes on March 4 at Vermont. Every round of the Jersey Mikes #AEPlayoffs will take place on the higher seed's home court and earning home-court advantage will prove crucial once again.

The league champion will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship.

Season tickets for men's basketball start as low as $100 and the Rivalry Trifecta package will be $100 in both the Purple and White Levels both include incredible savings over the single-game prices.

Single-game tickets will go on sale on October 28 with the exception of the Albany Cup, which will go on sale at a later date. If available, single-game tickets for the Albany Cup will be $100 in the Club Level and $60 in the Purple, White, and Gray Levels.
