Princeton, N.J.- UAlbany women's track and field competed at the ECAC Championship this past weekend. The 4x400-meter relay team of Allison Rogers, Brittany Eveleth, Tynelle Taylor-Chase and Sherez Mohamed broke the UAlbany school record with a time of 3:38.62 on day three of the competition after breaking the record on day two (3:41.06). The team overall finished 12th out of 46 scoring teams with a score of 28 points.
In the field, Patricia McNish continues to excel in the long jump, having broken the 20-foot barrier with a mark of 20-feet 4 and one half inches. McNish is the first women in school history to break the 20-foot barrier. Her long jump mark won her the ECAC title in the event.
Catie Coxon placed fourth in the discus throw with mark or 153-feet six-inches. McNish placed sixth in the triple jump as well with a mark of 41-feet and one-half inch.
The women's 4x400-meter relay along with McNish and Coxon will wait to find out if they qualified for the NCAA East Regionals on Thursday, May 17.
