Alicia Crowd

Former Syracuse standout Alicia Crowd enters her fourth season on the staff of the UAlbany track & field team. After assisting Roberto Vives with coaching the sprinters for three years, she will be in a new role this year as a staff assistant.

A former Big East Conference 400-meter champion, Crowd holds the school record in the 400- and 500-meter dashes indoors. In addition, she set the Section II indoor record in the 300-meter dash (39.62 seconds), a standard which stood for 12 years, at Greenwich Central High School.

Crowd earned her bachelor's degree in Spanish from Syracuse in 2001 and her master's degree in the same discipline from UAlbany in 2003. She currently teaches Spanish and coaches the boys' and girls' cross country teams at Chatham High School.
