Pete Eichner enters his first season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2015.

Eichner was a third baseman on the UAlbany baseball team from 2006-09 and served as a team captain his senior season. In his career, Eichner batted .243 with 69 runs batted in and eight home runs. He also helped the Great Danes to the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2007.

Eichner, a native of Pine Bush, N.Y., received a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management from UAlbany in 2009. He then earned a masters degree in public administration from Rockefeller College in 2011.
