BOSTON - The University at Albany men's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the America East Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced Monday.
PRESEASON COACHES' POLL
Vermont was named the preseason favorite with 62 points, including seven first-place votes. UMBC was picked second with 46 points, including one first-place vote, while Binghamton rounded out the top three with 45 points and one first-place vote.
NJIT was picked fourth with 38 points, followed by Bryant with 36 points.
The Great Danes, selected sixth, earned 34 points. UMass Lowell earned 31 points for seventh place, while Maine (19) and New Hampshire (13) rounded out the poll.

A LOOK AHEAD
UAlbany is set to begin the 2026-27 season on November 2 at home against Rhode Island College before hosting Merrimack and Dartmouth early in the non-conference slate. The Great Danes will then host Siena in Broadview Center for the Albany Cup on December 12, followed by road tests at Syracuse and Penn State before closing non-conference play against Columbia. UAlbany will open America East play at home against Bryant on January 7, with key conference matchups against preseason favorite Vermont, UMBC and Binghamton throughout the season. The Great Danes will close the regular season on March 2 at home against UMass Lowell.
