Men’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Schedule; Season Tickets on Sale

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany men's basketball program and head coach Dwayne Killings have unveiled the Great Danes' 2026-27 season schedule.

Fans can look forward to a packed home slate at Broadview Center, with the Great Danes set to host 14 games throughout the 2026-27 season, the most for the program since the 2019-2020 season. Among the highlights is the return of the Albany Cup, against crosstown rival Siena on Dec. 12, marking just the third time the game will be contested in Broadview Center. The highly anticipated Capital Region rivalry will add another marquee matchup to a home schedule that also features Merrimack, Army, Dartmouth, and Columbia, giving Great Dane fans plenty of opportunities to see UAlbany compete on its home Court.

Additionally, season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign are now officially on sale. Season tickets for men's basketball start as low as $100 and full season ticket pricing can be found below.

"When we put this schedule together, we wanted to be intentional about the opportunities we were creating for our team," said Killings. "We wanted to challenge ourselves on the road, bring quality opponents to Broadview Center and give our fans a schedule they can be excited about. Being part of the inaugural America East–Metro Basketball Challenge, along with hosting the Albany Cup against Siena, gives us some great opportunities to compete in meaningful games while building momentum throughout the season. With 14 home games and a strong mix of non-conference and America East opponents, we're excited about what this season has in store."

The Great Danes open the 2026-27 campaign on Nov. 2 in Broadview Center against Rhode Island College before beginning the inaugural America East–Metro Basketball Challenge. UAlbany will travel to Manhattan on Nov. 5 before returning to Broadview Center to host Merrimack on Nov. 8.

UAlbany will continue its early-season home stand with Dartmouth visiting Broadview Center on Nov. 11, then traveling to Holy Cross on Nov. 15. The Great Danes will then travel to and tip-off against Canisius on Nov. 20 for the start of the three-day Queens City Classic MTE, where they'll also face Western Illinois and Mercyhurst on Nov. 21-22. The Great Danes will close November with a trip to Syracuse on Nov. 25.

December opens up with another big road matchup at University Park, Penn., vs. Penn State on Dec. 1. UAlbany will then return home to host Army on Dec. 5 before traveling to Cornell on Dec. 8.

Fans can look forward to one of the most anticipated games on the Capital Region basketball calendar when the Great Danes welcome crosstown rival Siena to Broadview Center on Dec. 12 for the Albany Cup. Specific ticket information for the Albany Cup will be released at a later date.

After heading to St. Bonaventure on Dec. 16, the Great Danes will head to Philadelphia and face Drexel on Dec. 19 before returning to Broadview Center to close the calendar year against Columbia on Dec. 29.

UAlbany opens America East play at home on Jan. 9 against Binghamton. The Great Danes will then hit the road at NJIT and play a featured game on Martin Luther King Day, on Jan. 18 at UMBC.

The America East schedule will continue to roll with key home matchups, including visits from Bryant, Binghamton, New Hampshire, Maine, NJIT, UMBC, Vermont and UMass Lowell. The Great Danes will close the regular season at Broadview Center on March 2 against UMass Lowell.
