- The Great Danes worked to close the score gap, powered by a kill from Pinar Erol and junior Sabrina Kinkaid, but Purdue was the first to reach 15 points.
- After the two teams exchanged points, Purdue found themselves on 4-0 run that secured their set one win, 25-17.
- The Boilermakers had another dominant start in set two with a seven-point lead over UAlbany, 15-7.
- A 9-2 scoring run from Purdue gave the Boilermakers a two match advantage over the Great Danes.
- UAlbany refused to go down without a fight as the team went toe-to-toe with Purdue to start the third set.
