Women’s Lacrosse Gears Up for Bryant

ALBANY, N.Y. - The University at Albany women's lacrosse team visits Bryant looking for their first road win on Saturday, April 12 at 3:00 pm.

Leading the Pack
  • The UAlbany women's lacrosse team holds a 4-8 overall record, with a 0-4 record on the road.
  • Mikaela Mooney leads the team with 41 points, comprising 18 goals and a team-high 23 assists. Her average of 1.92 assists per game tops the America East Conference.
  • Dylana Williams has netted 31 goals on 52 shots, achieving a shooting percentage of 59.6%. As of April 7, she holds the 16th-best shooting percentage nationally.

Scouting Bryant
The Bulldogs are 7-6 overall heading into their next matchup, including a 3-4 record at home and 3-4 mark at home. As a team, Bryant has scored 159 goals and recorded 64 assists on 384 shots, resulting in a .414 shot percentage. They have placed 290 of those shots on goal, good for a .755 shot-on-goal percentage. The team is 30-59 on free position attempts for a .508 free position percentage. Defensively, the Bulldogs have collected 239 ground balls, forced 180 caused turnovers, and committed 197 turnovers. They have also won 147 draw controls and gone 234-263 on clear attempts for an impressive .890 clear percentage.
Isabelle Katter leads Bryant with 44 points from 25 goals and a team-high 19 assists. Emily DeGeorge follows closely with 39 points on a team-leading 34 goals and five assists. Gabriella Constant has contributed 34 points, including 28 goals and six assists, while Elise Larsen leads the team in assists with 15, adding 11 goals of her own.
 
On the draw, Kaelynn O'Brien leads the Bulldogs with 46 draw controls, while Jessica Tosone is just behind with 42. Defensively, Tosone has also recorded 43 ground balls and caused 31 turnovers, both team highs.
 
In net, Sam Centofante (5-5) has played the bulk of the minutes for Bryant, appearing in all 13 games. She has allowed 144 goals over 722:40 minutes for an 11.96 goals-against average. Centofante has made 98 saves on 242 shots faced, earning a .405 save percentage.
 
Previously vs. the Bulldogs
March 30, 2024 | UAlbany remained unbeaten in America East play with a gritty 14-11 comeback win over Bryant at John Fallon Field. After trailing by three at halftime, the Great Danes stormed back with a 10-4 second-half surge, led by Grace McCauley's career-high six goals and a dominant showing from Katie Pascale, who finished with three goals, four assists, five draw controls, and two caused turnovers. Pascale tallied six of her seven points after halftime, helping fuel a 5-1 third-quarter run that swung the momentum. Kloey Roos and Courtney Rowe each added two goals, and Paisley Cook chipped in one. Grace Cincebox anchored the defense with 13 saves and eight ground balls, keeping UAlbany within striking distance early and locking down late. UAlbany won the draw battle 17-11, including 11-5 in the second half, and outshot Bryant 21-15 over the final two quarters to pull away.
 
Last Time Out
April 5, 2025 | UAlbany returned to John Fallon Field and delivered a dominant 17-4 victory over New Hampshire in America East play. Dylana Williams paced the offense with four goals on six shots, all unassisted, while Courtney Rowe recorded a hat trick and one assist. Ava Poupard tallied two goals and two assists, and Kloey Roos added a hat trick of her own. Paisley Cook controlled the draw with a game-high 20 draw controls and chipped in a goal and an assist. Grace Cincebox made seven saves in net to surpass 300 career saves with the program. Freshmen Delaney McManus and Ravan Marsell each scored their first collegiate goals in the win, with Catrina Rowe also notching her first career point. UAlbany outshot the Wildcats 43-18, picked up 18 ground balls, and won 23 of 25 draws.
 
Schedule Strength
Once again, the Great Danes will boast one of the toughest schedules in the country.  Highlighted by the presence of two of four 2024 Final Four teams, including both national champion Boston College and Opening the season against Semi-Finalist Syracuse, UAlbany's 2025 schedule features four teams that earned berths into the 2024 NCAA Tournament, three 2024 conference champions, and three teams ranked in the final media poll of 2024.  Four future opponents ranked in the top 25 of the 2025 Inside Lacrosse preseason poll.
