Amar'e Marshall led all scorers with 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. Marshall scored 14 points in the first eight minutes of the game.

Aaron Reddish just missed a double-double, finishing with 20 points and eight rebounds. Four of Reddish's rebounds came on the offensive glass. The Great Danes shot 90% (18-20) from the free-throw line, compared to the Black Bears' 69.6% (16-23). Maine's Kellen Tynes, the reigning America East Defensive Player of the Year, finished with 14 points, three blocked shots, and two steals.
