HOW IT HAPPENED
- UAlbany started the match strong by gaining a quick lead at 6-4 with early kills from redshirt-junior's Shynelle Woroniuk and Kendall Harris.
- Consistent serving and key blocks by junior Tori Wilson helped the Great Danes stretch the lead to 18-13.
- The Purple and Gold maintained momentum with back-to-back kills and blocks before closing the set one, 25-17.
- UAlbany trailed early in the second set at 7-5 but took the lead after a four-point scoring run.
- Bryant kept it close by trading points late in the set and the score tied at 24 after strong defensive efforts.
- A series of kills from the Great Danes in the final moments helped them edge out Bryant 27-25 in an intense second set.
- UAlbany came back with a vengeance in the final set by taking a 6-2 lead with powerful kills from graduate student Elisavet Papageorgiou.
- The Bulldogs stood no chance after a nine-point scoring run put the Great Danes up by 12.
