  • Maria “Mo” Olga Siapani is the daughter of Ioannis Siapanis and Elena Pavlou
  • Has two siblings - older brother, Sotiris, and younger sister, Constantina
  • Born and raised in Limassol, Cyprus
  • Majoring in business administration
  • Enjoys playing volleyball and giving back as a blood donor
  • Brother, Sotiris, played men’s volleyball for Ohio State and Long Beach University
  • Father, Ioannis, serves in the Navy of Cyprus

I chose UAlbany because of how the staff supports international students. It also has a great academic and volleyball program along with the amazing coaching team.
 

Pickard on Siapani

Maria extends the great relationship that UAlbany has with Cyprus to the volleyball program. She comes from an exceptional volleyball family and has great experience both on the court and on the beach. Her ability to locate hitters and put the ball right where they need it will make her a great asset to the team.
