Short Story: Louis Gordon advances to NCAA Outdoor Championships on the first day of East Prelims.
 
How it Happened

• Louis Gordon placed fifth in the men's long jump in 25-04.00, his third-best mark ever.  Stephan Farquharson placed 41st in 23-02.75.  Gordon advances to the NCAA Outdoor Championship meet at the University of Texas.
• Travis Williams qualified 16th in the men's 100m in a personal-best 10.15.  Williams sets a new wind-legal program record, surpassing the previous mark of 10.21 set last season by teammate Shakur Williams.
• Gianni Henry placed 36th in the men's 800m in 1:50.36.

Next: Travis Williams will compete in Friday's quarterfinal round, where the top three finishers in each heat plus the next three fastest overall times advance to NCAA Outdoor Championships.  The women begin competing in Thursday's events.
