Short Story: Gianni Henry and Jazmen Newberry set new freshman class records and move into second place in their events in program history at the 2023 West Point Twilight meet.
 
Track Events

• Toni Galloway won the women's 100m hurdles in 13.85.
• Antwone Messado placed second in the men's 110m hurdles in 14.64.
• The women's 4x100m relay team of Adaliz Hunt, Dominique Clarke, Rori Lowe, and Jazmen Newberry placed first in 45.29.
• Gianni Henry placed second in the men's 800m in 1:48.23; Giovouni Henry placed sixth in 1:50.63, and KJ Dawkins placed 11th in 1:51.76.  All three times were personal-bests.
• Hunt won the women's 100m in 11.92.
• Shak Williams won the men's 100m in 10.51.
• Brinesha Derrick-Bain placed second in the women's 400m hurdles in 1:03.45.
• Easton Reagan placed second in the men's 400m hurdles in 52.54.
• Newberry won the women's 200m in a personal-best 23.51; Lowe placed second in a personal-best 23.75.
• Amanda Chambers placed second in the women's 1,500m in a personal-best 4:27.01.

• Efe Omokeni placed second in the women's long jump in a wind-aided 19-02.00; Rebeca Valerie Barrientos Alpha placed fifth in 18-02.25, and Jade Foster placed sixth in 17-11.75.
• Daniel Cephus placed second in the men's long jump in 22-05.00; Marcus McFadden placed fifth in 21-03.25.
• Barrientos Alpha placed third in the women's triple jump in 38-09.75.
• Tyler Charles placed third in the men's triple jump in 44-09.00.
• Ja'Lil Reynolds placed third in the men's high jump, clearing 6-06.75.

Meet Notes

• Shakur Williams set a new meet record of 10.62 in the preliminary round of the men's 100m, surpassing the previous mark of 10.72 set in 2017 by Army West Point's Tyler Davis, and broke his own meet record in the final.
• Dominique Clarke set a new meet record of 11.72 in the preliminary round of the women's 100m, surpassing the previous mark of 12.24 set in 2021 by Army West Point's Hannah Blakey.
• The women's 4x100m relay set a new meet record, surpassing the previous mark of 49.12 set in 2019 by Hamilton.
• Gianni Henry set a new freshman class record in the men's 800m, surpassing the previous mark of 1:48.83 set in 2008 by Tyler Fogarty.  He now ranks second in program history, behind only Gered Burns' 1:48.20 from 2007.
• Jazmen Newberry broke her own freshman class record in the women's 200m of 23.79 set last Sunday at the America East Outdoor Championships.  She has moved into second place in program history, behind only teammate Dominique Clarke's 23.05 set in 2022.
• Amanda Chambers has moved into third place in program history in the women's 1,500m, behind only Kathryn Fanning's 4:18.68 from 2014 and Hannah Reinhardt's 4:24.05 from 2019.
• UAlbany throws coach Abel Gilet placed eighth in the men's discus in 159-02.00.
