Short Story: Track & field wins four events at the UMass Flagship Spring Opener, sweeping the men's and women's discus and placing fourth and fifth in the women's and men's team standings, respectively.

• Alondra Cruz-Delgado placed eighth in the women's 1,500m in 4:38.22.
• KJ Dawkins placed eighth in the men's 1,500m in 3:57.60.
• Alicia Grady placed fifth in the women's 400m in 57.66.
• Garry Munro won the men's 100m in a wind-aided 10.51.
• Toni Galloway placed second in the women's 100m hurdles in 14.33; Olivia Nelson Chevry placed sixth in 14.82, and Jazmen Newberry placed seventh in a personal-best 14.83.
• Alesia Douglas placed fourth in the women's 800m in a personal-best 2:16.50.
• Brinesha Derrick-Bain won the women's 400m hurdles in 1:02.96; Newberry placed third in 1:06.02.
• Quincy Chery placed sixth in the men's 400m hurdles in a personal-best 56.10.
• Adaliz Hunt placed seventh in the women's 200m in an outdoor-best 25.65.

• Travis Robinson placed fourth in the men's shot put in 51-11.25.
• Scott won the women's discus in 146-02.00; Abbee Rhodes placed fifth in a personal-best 136-04.00.
• Robinson won the men's discus in 176-09.00; Alex Saltsman placed fourth in a personal-best 159-08.00.
