Frink, Santana, Hogg named to Women’s World Championship Rosters

ALBANY, N.Y. – Three members of the University at Albany women's lacrosse program have earned spots on their nation's final rosters ahead of the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship.  Assistant coach Taylor Frink and outgoing senior attack Ivy Santana have made the Haudenosaunee roster, and rising junior attack Bryar Hogg will represent Canada.
 
The World Championship begins June 29, with the championship match scheduled for July 9.  The tournament will take place at Towson University in Maryland.  The field is composed of 30 teams divided into six five-team pools.
 
Haudenosaunee shares Pool E with Argentina, China, Japan, and Switzerland.  Canada will play in Pool A with Australia, England, Scotland, and three-time defending champion United States.
 
ESPN will broadcast 112 games of the World Championship, including six on its linear networks.  The first game of the tournament, USA vs. Canada, will broadcast on ESPN2 on June 29 at 7:00 pm.  Additionally, both semifinals will air on ESPN2 on July 7, as will the championship game on July 9.  The bronze medal match will air on ESPNU immediately preceding the title game on July 9.
 
Hogg was UAlbany's seventh-leading scorer during the 2022 season, scoring nine goals with eight assists for a total of 17 points.  Santana scored four goals with three assists in 12 total appearances.  Santana scored one goal each against Syracuse and Stony Brook, UAlbany two highest-ranked opponents on the season.
 
Frink graduated UAlbany in 2011, leaving the program with 89 goals, 82 assists, and 171 points.  During UAlbany's first America East championship run in 2011, she scored 49 goals with 34 assists for a total of 83 points.  After stints at Longwood and Davidson, Frink returned to UAlbany in 2017, where she has remained an assistant coach through the Great Danes' most recent season.
 
Team Canada opens the World Championship on June 29 at 7:00 pm against Team USA.  Team Haudenosaunee opens June 30 at 2:00 pm against Team Japan.
