SCORE: UAlbany 64, Siena 57
LOCATION: UHY Center - Loudonville, N.Y.
RECORDS: UAlbany 2-0, 0-0 America East | Siena 1-1, 0-0 MAAC
SHORT STORY: The Great Danes came out of the gates strong to gain the lead. As Siena was unable to take the lead, despite multiple attempts, UAlbany will take the Albany Cup for the second year in a row, Sunday afternoon.
COACH COLLEEN MULLEN: "I'm so proud of our team's effort and focus tonight. Siena played a fast-paced, high pressure style of basketball, which at times, created turnovers and forced us to quick shoot. Despite their frenetic style, we maintained our composure and executed our game plan. We built a sizable lead but credit Siena - they never gave up and kept chipping away. The Albany Cup is such a fun rivalry for the players and for the Capital Region. This is what college athletics is all about!"
