Short Story: The UAlbany volleyball team finished play at the Art Carmichael Invitational with two wins, taking down Bryant in three sets and ACC opponent Boston College in a five set thriller on Saturday.
Coach Pickard (Game 1): “The team came out fired up this morning. Bryant is a good team and we were able to keep the service pressure on and that allowed us to get back a couple more balls a set to get swings at. We have talked a lot this season about limiting our errors and this morning we were able to do that. The team knows this is a process and we continue each match to work on things.”
Coach Pickard (Game 2): "I'm proud of the team and how they finished the tournament. We have been working on playing as a team throughout the pre-conference matches and the team showed immense growth this weekend. A number of our players had a great weekend including Akua, who made the all-tournament, and Danielle who was a force at the net both attacking and blocking. We are excited to get back to the practice gym and prepare for AE Conference play this week."
