SHORT STORY: No. 19 Yale field hockey jumped to an early lead and the Great Danes were unable to recover in a Sunday afternoon contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bulldogs struck fast and scored their first goal in the first minute of action.
- Although the Great Dane defense held Yale to just one goal in the first quarter, the Bulldogs gained a 4-0 advantage before halftime.
- Just over five minutes into the third quarter, Yale had scored two additional goals for a 6-0 lead.
- Dribbling the ball along the endline towards the goal, Mathilda Prada scored the first, and what proved to be only, UAlbany goal six minutes and 14 seconds into the third quarter.
- With 12 minutes remaining in the game, freshman Quinty Reumer scored during a penalty corner but after a video review, the call was reversed and the goal was taken away.
- Yale added three goals - two in the third quarter and one shortly after the Great Danes' attempt in the fourth - to earn the 9-1 win.
NEXT: The Great Danes are set to face Columbia (Sept. 11) and Stonehill (Sept. 13) on the road next weekend.
