Short Story: The UAlbany women's soccer team overcame a 2-nil deficit to draw with Stony Brook Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened:

• Sydney Kofton took UAlbany's first shot in the 5^th minute.
• Goalie Claudia Volino made her first save in the 24^th minute.
• In the 25^th minute, the Seawolves nearly took the lead when a shot from Maya Corbett hit the post and bounced out, however the score remained even at zero.
• The Great Danes fired off six shots over the remainder of the half but were unable to find the back of the net, so the score remained nil-nil headed into the second half.
• In the 56^th minute, the Seawolves broke the stalemate with a goal to make it 1-nil.
• Stony Brook extended the lead in the 71^st minute with a goal to push the score to 2-nil.
• UAlbany answered back when Meredith Blannett found the back of the net in the 80th minute to make it 2-1.
• The Great Danes tied up the game seven minutes later when Kiara Levac was able to score and even the score at 2-2.
• UAlbany attempted a corner kick during the closing seconds of the game, but were unable to score, thus the game ended as a 2-2 draw.

 
Up Next: UAlbany is set to travel to Orono, Maine to take on the Black Bears Sunday, September 20. Kickoff is set for 12:00 pm at Alumni Field.
