- The Great Danes' Kiara Levac recorded the first shot of the match in the fourth minute.
- Maddie Eddy had UAlbany's closest shot of the first half in the seventh minute but found the crossbar.
- Emma Nicholson gave Maine a 1-nil lead in the 28th minute of play with a goal that just made it over the outstretched hands of Claudia Volino.
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the remaining 17 minutes of the first half, giving the Black Bears the 1-nil advantage going into the second half of play.
- Volino made her first save of the match for the Great Danes in the 49th minute when Maine's Olivia Grisdale struck a shot low and center.
- Isabella Meadows extended Maine's lead with a shot that found the bottom right corner of the net in the 62nd minute of the match.
