BOSTON – University at Albany baseball's Dylan Banner and Brian Cadieux have been named America East Pitcher and Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Banner anchored the UAlbany pitching staff this past weekend, delivering a dominant outing on the mound. He tossed 7.0 scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out four. He worked through traffic when needed and helped keep the Highlanders off the board in what became a 1-0 walk-off win for the Great Danes. His command and efficiency kept opposing hitters off balance throughout and played a key role in the Great Danes' success. This is Banner's second America East honor this season.

Cadieux earned Rookie of the Week honors after turning in a strong performance of his own. The freshman right-hander delivered 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits while striking out three and working through traffic to keep opponents off the board. His outing helped stabilize the pitching staff and showcased his ability to compete in key moments.

The honors mark UAlbany's third and fourth America East weekly awards of the 2026 season.
