HOW IT HAPPENED
- Julia Pike started the game right away with a single before making her way to third base with two stolen bases.
- Katie Parisi brought her home with an RBI single before scoring the Great Danes' third run of the inning to give Sara Anderson an RBI.
- Bellarmine filled the bases in the first but the UAlbany defense held off any runs.
- The Great Danes' first four batters made it on base in the top of the second - one walk and three singles. Three of them scored to give UAlbany a 6-0 lead.
- Once again, the Knights loaded the bases but two consecutive strikeouts from Hayley Wieczerzak left them there as the Great Danes headed back to the dugout.
- UAlbany's seventh run came from a sacrifice fly from senior Deanna Grahek in the top of the third.
- The Great Danes scored what proved to be their final runs in the fourth.
- A second sacrifice fly, this time from Katie Parisi, brought Kasey Conn home to score before a two-run homer from Mary Kate Murray made it a 10-0 game.
- Bellarmine put just one runner on base in the bottom of the fourth and the fifth as UAlbany secured the five-inning win.
