- The Great Danes took control of the ball shortly after and earned three consecutive penalty corners but were unable to take advantage, despite a shot on goal from Jette Kurz.
- UAlbany held a slight advantage, 3-1, in shots but Maine's lone shot ended in the net for a 3-0 Black Bear lead.
- Quinty Reumer put the Great Danes on the board during a penalty corner. Taking a direct shot, Kurz (stickstop) and Mara Küskes (insert) both assisted.
- Despite another UAlbany corner and two shots in the final minute, the Black Bears took the 3-1 win.
