HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hofstra opened the scoring with a goal in the seventh minute of action.
- UAlbany answered six minutes later with a Quinty Reumer penalty-corner goal. Scoring with a sweep, Mara Küskes (insert) and Jette Kurz (stick-stop) assisted.
- Just over a minute into the second quarter, the Great Danes repeated their first goal to take the lead.
- After a scoreless third quarter, Hofstra tied the score at two with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation.
- Five minutes into the overtime period, the Great Danes combined their efforts to bring the ball up the field. Receiving the ball around the dotted circle, freshman Finleigh McClain dribbled into the circle and passed to Prada, where she made a diving shot to score the game-winning goal.
NEXT: The Great Danes are set to return home to host Bryant (Oct. 9) before heading back on the road for Cornell (Oct. 11).
