Leading the Pack

• Ryan Ferremi is leading the Danes' offense, hitting .297 with 12 doubles, four home runs, 27 RBIs, a .453 on base percentage and a .943 OPS.
• Levi McAllister has also been a key contributor, hitting .273 with a .909 OPS, nine doubles, six homers, 43 RBIs and a .512 SLG%.
• Dylan Banner leads the pitching staff with a 5-4 record, and through 78.1 innings has a 3.22 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 48 strikeouts. 

Last Time Out 

• The Great Danes swept UMass Lowell this past weekend.
• On Friday (5/2) Dylan Banner pitched a complete game to lead the Danes to a 6-1 win.  
• On Saturday (5/3) the Danes scored nine runs in the top of the ninth, highlighted by a Luke Myers three-run blast, to complete a comeback win.
• On Sunday (5/4) Ethan Nardacci, only allowed one run across five innings to help the Danes secure the sweep and his first collegiate win.
• As a team, the Danes are hitting .248 with a .376 OB% and a .356 SLG%.
• On the mound, UAlbany has a 7.47 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 276 strikeouts through 355.1 innings.

 Scouting UMBC 

• The Retrievers are currently 18-21, and this past weekend got swept by Rider.
• UMBC is led offensively by Danny Orr. In 121 at bats Orr is hitting .331, with a .396 OBP, 40 hits, nine doubles, and six homer. 
• On the mound UMBC is led by Eddie Sargent. Sargent has a 6.04 ERA through 44.1 innings pitched.
• Overall, the Retrievers are hitting .269 with 38 homers, and through 315.2 innings pitched have a 7.21 ERA with 254 strikeouts.

 
Captains 

Dylan Banner, Ryan Ferremi and Matthew Mariano will serve as captains for the Great Danes during the 2025 season. Banner, a junior right-handed pitcher throughout his career, holds a career ERA of 4.31 over 64.2 innings. Prior to the season, Banner was named a Preseason All-Conference selection. Ferremi, a senior infielder has a career average of .256 with 55 hits and 10 doubles. Mariano, a Redshirt Junior right-handed pitcher from Clifton Park, N.Y., has a career 7.80 ERA through 25 appearances. 
 
2025 America East Preseason Poll 

• UAlbany was picked to finish seventh in the 2025 America East Preseason Poll, earning seven points. 
• Bryant was picked to finish first in the conference with 35 points, including five first-place votes. 
• Binghamton, followed closely behind with 30 points and two first-place votes. 
• Maine (21) placed third, NJIT (21) fourth, and UMass Lowell (18) fifth. 
• UMBC (15) and UAlbany rounded out the poll.
