Short Story: The University at Albany men's basketball team fell to Vermont, 68-62, at home for the Great Dane's inaugural Hometown Heroes game.
Coach Dwayne Killings: "We got a lot better, and for parts of the game, I think you saw a team that is capable of winning a championship here. This one hurt, hurt the kids, hurt the staff because it was right within our hands... Why Vermont is good is because they don't beat themselves in the last two minutes... It's about the team that finishes the season right and gets better and better and better, and that's a team that will win, and that will be the team that will be fortunate to win our league."
