Short Story: The University at Albany Men's Basketball hosted Binghamton on Saturday night for the Big Purple Growl, falling short to the Bearcats 65-61.

Coach Dwayne Killings: "We talked a lot about being fresher in our minds and our bodies today, on Big Purple Growl after they [Binghamton] just played a really hard game against Vermont on Thursday, but they were a lot crisper… The first half challenged the guys. I thought they accepted the challenge. In the second half, we started to guard, and that turned them over. It got us the offense. And the end of the day, it comes down to a one-possession game in the last minute and a half, and they executed better than us."

• Two Great Danes scored over ten points, Klaczek with 12, Joshua with 15, and both players with a team-high four assists each.
• Neely went a perfect 5-5 on free throws and led rebounds with 9 (1 off – 8 def) total.
• Klaczek had a team-high two blocks and four steals.
• Binghamton outrebounded UAlbany 33-26.

• Both teams exchanged points to kick off the game, with Binghamton taking an early 4-9 lead at 15:04
• The Bearcats and Great Danes continued to exchange points, with Binghamton leading 14-9 at 12:15
• Starting at 10:12 the Bearcats went on a six-point run, ended by a field goal by Kacper Klaczek.
• UAlbany went on a six-point run to cut Binghamton's lead to four, 20-24, highlighted by four points from Justin Neely.
• Binghamton went on an eight-point run, ended by a three-pointer by Klaczek at 2:24, 20-32, Binghamton.
• Klaczek scored another three to end the first half, Binghamton leading 26-36
• UAlbany opened scoring for the second half with Byron Joshua and DeMarr Langford Jr., each putting up two.
• Starting at 16:37, the Great Danes went on a seven-point run to tie the game 40-40, all seven points coming from Joshua.

• At 5:10 Binghamton put up a seven-point run to retake the lead, 57-59
• Kheni Briggs and Joshua put up two points apiece to put the Great Danes back on top 61-59.
• In the last two minutes of play, Binghamton put up a six-point run to take the game. Final score UAlbany 61, Binghamton 65
