HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Colgate scored on their first possession; Lara Langermann put UAlbany on the scoreboard with a three-pointer.
  • The Raiders eventually took the lead but five points in the last two minutes made it a Great Dane advantage, 13-10, at the end of the quarter.
  • Just like the first, the second quarter started with two UAlbany three-pointers from Langermann and Delanie Hill. A couple of free throws from freshmen Amaya Stewart and Laura Vera completed the 14-point streak that began in the first quarter.
  • Colgate answered with eight consecutive points in just over two minutes.
  • The teams battled back and forth and the Raiders brought what once was a 12-point UAlbany lead to just three with 90 seconds remaining in the first half.
  • The Great Danes totaled five points, to Colgate's two, to enter halftime with a six-point lead.
  • Coming out of the break, the two teams traded baskets for about five minutes.
  • Throughout the final five minutes of the quarter, the UAlbany defense held the Raiders scoreless while adding eight points to return to a double-digit lead, 42-29, at the end of the third.
  • In the final quarter, the Great Danes outscored the Raiders by just one point, 13-12.
  • In the front half of the fourth, UAlbany earned a 22-point lead, 53-31, with field goals from Hill, Langermann, Martina Borrellas, and freshman Emma Zuccon.
  • Colgate came back with eight points in the final five minutes of the game but it was not enough and UAlbany won, 55-41.
