How it Happened:Â
- UAlbany opened the scoring midway through the first quarter when James Bozek drilled a 25-yard field goal to make it 3-0.
- The Great Danes added to their lead on the following drive, as Jack Shields found Steven Mahar Jr. across the middle for an 18-yard touchdown, extending the margin to 10-0.
- Bryant responded with a seven-yard rushing touchdown from Elijah Elliott late in the first quarter to make it 10-7.
- UAlbany struck again early in the second when Shields connected with Carter Moses on a 33-yard touchdown to push the lead to 17-7.
- The Bulldogs answered before halftime, using a 68-yard strike from Jaden Keefner to Zyheem Collick to pull within 17-14.
- Bryant tied the game midway through the third quarter with a 21-yard field goal from Nicholas Stoyanovich.
- UAlbany regained the lead early in the fourth as Aidan Semo powered into the end zone from three yards out to make it 24-17.
- Bryant answered quickly, converting on fourth down before Ridge Docekal connected with Tristen Riley for a six-yard touchdown, tying the game 24-24.
- The Bulldogs took their first lead with 5:43 remaining on a 26-yard field goal by Stoyanovich to go up 27-24.
