ALBANY, N.Y. - The UAlbany field hockey team is set to host a quarterfinal matchup to open the 2025 America East Championship Tournament.
Different from the regular season, fans will need to purchase a ticket to attend the tournament games. Adult tickets will be $12 per session with under 14 tickets at $6 per session.

New this year, the America East Field Hockey Tournament will be contested at the higher seed for each round. The first and second seed received a bye for the quarterfinal round and will host a semifinal. UAlbany, the third seed, will host #6 Bryant for the first quarterfinal.

CONFERENCE ACTION REVIEW
- The Great Danes went 3-2 in conference play with wins over UMass Lowell, Bryant, and Maine and a loss to New Hampshire and Vermont.
- In the five league games, sophomore Tessa Overgoor leads the team with three goals and three student-athletes follow with two goals each - junior Pilar Lorenzini, junior Emma Staron, and freshman Jette Kurz.
- Freshman Lillian Willis and redshirt-senior Jenna Zunic have earned a team-high two assists in conference play. Senior Sophia Schoonmaker and junior Mara Küskes have each added one.
GREAT DANE REWIND
- UAlbany finished the regular season with 11 wins and six losses.
- In addition to their two conference losses, the Great Danes have fallen to three nationally ranked teams - #9 Liberty, #12 UMass, and #16 Yale - and Columbia.
- UAlbany has earned five shutouts in 2025 - New Haven, Longwood, Maine, Colgate, and Bryant.
- Junior Pilar Lorenzini leads the team with 12 goals and one assist for 25 points. Half of Lorenzini's goals come from the first three games of the season.
- Sophomore Tessa Overgoor follows with seven goals scored throughout the season. She was a major piece of the late-game comeback over UMass Lowell scoring the game-tying and game-winning goal in overtime for a career-high two goals in a single game.
- Junior Mara Küskes follows Lorenzini with 17 points from five goals and seven assists. Küskes has earned at least one point for her team in over half of the Great Danes' contests.
- Graduate student Olivia Bell holds a team-high nine assists, six of which came in the first three games of the season.
- Fifth year Emma Peeters has been solid in goal with 73 saves for a .777 save percentage and a 1.32 goals against average.

ABOUT #6 BRYANT
- The Bulldogs are 4-13 on the season with five conference losses.
- Bryant found wins over New Haven, Stonehill, Merrimack, and Bellarmine.
- Common opponents between the Bulldogs and the Great Danes in 2025 include New Haven, Hofstra, Holy Cross and Stonehill. UAlbany beat all four teams while Bryant fell to Hofstra and Holy Cross.
- Throughout their league contests, the Bulldogs scored just twice - once against UMass Lowell and once against Maine.
- Callie Caito leads the team with six goals and 13 points.
- Alexa Sedicino owns a team-high four assists.
- Both Bulldog goalies have contributed significant minutes. Both own a .667 save percentage but Maud van Lierop leads with 72 saves to Sara DeSousa's 24.

- In three years as conference opponents, UAlbany has defeated Bryant thrice and have scored at least three goals in each contest.
